Fire Extinguisher - 1-A:10-B:C By First Alert

Fire extinguishers can fight back against most RV fires including wood, paper, trash, flammable liquids and electrical. This is a rechargeable extinguisher, so if used it can be refilled by a professional. It has a durable metal head which is designed to meet demanding needs and has a corrosion resistant and color coated, easy to read gauge which provides accurate measurements. It also has a metal pull pin that has a safety seal to prevent accidental discharge. This comes with a secure mounting bracket , so it can easily be mounted to the wall, snap in the extinguisher and use the strap to secure it in. There is a label on the front with easy to follow instructions, which is chemical resistant and waterproof, so the label won't get destroyed overtime. This extinguisher comes with a 10 year limited warranty.

How To Properly Use A Fire Extinguisher

By remembering the word PASS you will be able to use any RV fire extinguisher. Pull the pin, Aim extinguisher at the base of the fire, Squeeze the trigger and Sweep from left to right until the fire is out. Always make sure to keep a safe distance, about 6 feet away from the fire and always use the proper fire extinguisher for the class type of fire, otherwise it may not work.

UL Rating

Fire extinguishing capacity is rated in accordance with ANSI/UL 711: Rating and Fire Testing of Fire Extinguishers. They are described using the numbers that come before the class letter, such as 1-A:10-B:C. The 1 before the A multiplied by 1.25 gives the equivalent extinguishing capability in gallons of water. The 10 before the B tells you the size of fire in square feet that the user should be able to extinguish. There is no number before class C because it is just there to let you know that it will not conduct electricity.
