The Blue Ox base plate bolts to the frame and is custom designed for each specific towed vehicle. Different Blue Ox baseplate's will show significantly more than others will and a few require cutting of the bumper
fascia for installation. Newer vehicle models now have available the removable attachment tabs, which allows you to remove the exposed parts of the baseplate from the front of the vehicle. Standard Tab
base plate's have welded tabs which are not removable. Blue Ox Baseplate's come with all the necessary hardware and instructions for a do-it-yourself installation.
