Note: Most RV patio awnings extend 8ft from the vehicle. This awning extension measurement is very common. There is no need to worry about the extension measurement unless you are looking for a specific extension length. The most important measurement is the width of the awning. When measuring the width, measure from the center of the right arm to the center of the left arm. The awning fabric will measure approximately 10 inches less than the actual awning width measurement. DO NOT USE THE FABRIC MEASUREMENT AS THE AWNING WIDTH MEASUREMENT.
