The Demco Ford Explorer Base Plate # 9518289 for 2011 to 2015 model years is designed to be virtually unseen and won't protrude out, hang below or rise above your bumper or grill. A baseplate is the frame work that allows you to hook a tow bar to your Ford Explorer and tow it 4 wheels down. Demco takes safety seriously and uses Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA) when testing baseplates for strength, functionality and durability. Each baseplate bolts permanently to the chassis of your vehicle and provides a secure, reliable attachment point for all Demco tow bars or Blue Ox, Ready Brute and Roadmaster tow bars with added adapter.
