The AP Products Non-Ribbed D Seal with heat-activated tape may be used in a variety of applications around your RV, including cargo doors, entrance doors, around windows, and any other area where you want to reduce or eliminate infiltration of noise, dust, moisture, and vibration.- HATS Tape (Heat Activated Tape System) mounting (see additional product info).
- The heavy-duty seal allows you to use with parts in motion or friction, without ripping the seal off.
- EPDM sponge material is UV protected and weather resistant.
- Acetone works well to remove old residue from the D-seal.
- Note: if using acetone, test on an inconspicuous area first to make sure it will not harm the surface. Also, use caution if using near your RV, as acetone can damage exterior finishes.
- Ambient temperature must be above 60-degrees F during application.

How Does HATS Tape Work?
HATS tape is heat activated tape that is in a non-tacky state until heat is applied, which activates the bonding property. When heat and pressure are applied, the tape is activated, and ultimately provides an extremely high bond. You can use a hairdryer and pressure to activate the adhesive, but you must make sure you have a completely clean and dry surface for it to stick.
