To use, the ball is first inserted into the hitch cylinder and rotated. The Inverta ball has a spring-loaded locking mechanism which keeps the ball firmly in place, to avoid having it become unattached by accident. This keeps things simple by getting rid of the levers, locks or cables in truck fender wells. When storing the ball, first unlock it by pushing the safety thumb lock and remove it by rotating. The ball position is then inverted and put back into the socket, keeping it easily stored until you need it again.

The ability to remove the hitch ball and store it keeps the Diamond Hitch flush with the floor. The Diamond Hitch is mounted entirely underneath your Chevy / GMC truck bed, keeping storage space open when nothing is being towed.

Installation is made easier and quicker because the Diamond Hitch is bolted directly to the truck frame. It needs a four-inch hole in the truck bed for the ball cylinder, but uses existing bolts and holes whenever it can. The main hitch assembly is constructed from one-piece tubular steel to add to the overall strength and durability.
