The Demco Ford Explorer/Sport Trac Base Plate # 9518199 For 2006 - 2010 Vehicles permanently mounts to the chassis of your vehicle providing a secure, reliable attachment point for all Demco tow bars or Blue Ox, Ready Brute and Roadmaster tow bars with added adapter and is easy to access, virtually unseen and won't protrude out, hang below or rise above your bumper or grill. A base plate is the frame work that allows you to hook a tow bar to your Ford Explorer/Sport Trac and tow it 4 wheels down. Demco takes safety seriously and uses Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA) when testing base plates for strength, functionality and durability.
