Stop living with a cracked, leaking, or beat-up water fill fitting. The Aqua-Pro 27869 is a clean, low-profile flush-mount fresh water inlet designed to sit flush against your RV sidewall -- no bulky housing sticking out, no sloppy fit. At just 3.5 x 3.5 inches face diameter and under a quarter pound, it installs quickly and looks factory-clean on any Class A, Class C, fifth wheel, or travel trailer.

A Better Water Fill Inlet -- Flush, Clean, and Ready to Work

The Aqua-Pro 27869 replaces your RV's fresh water fill port with a flush-mount design that sits level with the sidewall panel. That means no protruding housing to snag on brush at the campsite, no gap where road grime collects, and a much cleaner finished look compared to surface-mount or recessed barrel-style inlets.

This fitting is designed for the fresh water fill port -- the connection where you top off your onboard tank from a campground spigot or hose at home. It is not a city water inlet (that is a separate pressurized connection). The fill port flows through to your fresh water holding tank by gravity or low-pressure hand pump.

Flush-Mount Profile

Sits level with the RV sidewall. No protruding housing to catch dirt, debris, or damage at the campsite.

Compact Footprint

3.5 x 3.5 inch face and only 3.25 inches deep. Fits tight sidewall cavities where oversized housings will not clear.

Lightweight Build

Only 0.3 lbs. Adds virtually no weight to the RV sidewall panel and does not require additional reinforcement.

Direct Replacement Design

Sized and shaped to replace common OEM-style flush-mount water fill fittings on travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes.

What Is a Water Fill Inlet -- and Why Replace It?

Your RV has two separate water connections on the exterior: the city water inlet (pressurized, typically a standard garden-hose fitting) and the fresh water tank fill port (gravity-fed, used to fill the onboard tank). The Aqua-Pro 27869 is the tank fill fitting -- the one you open with a hose when you want to top off your fresh water supply before heading out.

Over time these fittings crack from UV exposure, freeze/thaw cycles, or simply get broken by a hose fitting torqued in at the wrong angle. A cracked housing can allow road spray and insects into the sidewall cavity. Replacing it is a straightforward job that keeps your water supply clean and your sidewall sealed.

Clean Sidewall Install: The flush-mount profile means the face of the fitting sits at or very near the plane of your RV sidewall skin. This eliminates the gap common on older barrel-style fittings where mud, insects, and water collect behind the housing.

Installation Overview

Replacing an existing flush-mount water fill fitting is typically a one-tool job:

  • Disconnect the existing hose or fitting from inside the wet bay or sidewall access panel
  • Remove the old fitting face from outside -- usually held by screws through the sidewall skin
  • Drop the Aqua-Pro 27869 into the same opening (verify cutout size matches the 3.5 x 3.5 inch face before ordering)
  • Secure with screws and apply lap sealant around the perimeter on the exterior to prevent water intrusion
  • Connect the interior hose or barb fitting to the tank supply line
Seal the Perimeter: Any exterior wall penetration on an RV must be sealed with a compatible self-leveling lap sealant (such as Dicor 501LSW or equivalent) after installation. An unsealed gap allows water to wick into the wall cavity and cause delamination over time. Do not skip this step.

Compatibility and Fitment

The Aqua-Pro 27869 is suited for fresh water tank fill applications on a wide range of RV types:

  • Travel trailers and fifth wheels with standard sidewall fill ports
  • Class A and Class C motorhomes
  • Toy haulers and park model trailers
  • Any application where an existing flush-mount water fill inlet needs replacement

Before ordering, confirm your existing cutout opening is compatible with the 3.5 x 3.5 inch face plate. If your current fitting uses a larger or smaller panel opening, minor trimming or a backing plate may be needed.

Fill Port vs. City Water -- Know the Difference: This fitting serves the fresh water tank fill function only. It is not rated for continuous city water pressure (typically 40-80 PSI at campgrounds). If you need a city water inlet replacement, that is a separate part with a check valve and hose-thread connection. Do not use this fitting as a pressurized city water inlet.
Maintenance Tip: Keep the cap or cover closed when not in use to prevent insects and debris from entering the fill line. Rinse the fitting and surrounding area periodically when sanitizing your fresh water system. Inspect the perimeter sealant annually -- UV and vibration can cause sealant to crack over time and should be touched up as needed.

Important Information
  • This is a fresh water TANK FILL fitting only -- it is not designed for continuous pressurized city water connections (40-80 PSI campground hookup). Using it as a pressurized city water inlet may result in leaks or fitting failure.
  • Always apply a compatible lap sealant (Dicor or equivalent) around the exterior perimeter after installation. Any unsealed sidewall penetration risks water intrusion and wall delamination.
  • Verify your existing cutout dimensions match the 3.5 x 3.5 inch face before installing. A mismatched opening will require additional work to seal properly.
  • Keep the inlet cap closed when not in use to prevent insects and road contamination from entering your fresh water system.
  • This product weighs 0.3 lbs -- no additional sidewall reinforcement is typically required for standard RV panel construction.
