Bigfoot AKQ-8A1 Quad Pump Automatic Leveling System — Class A Gas / Class 8 Motorhome, 4 × 17,000 lb Cylinders, 18" Stroke, Weld-On

Bigfoot AKQ-8A1 Quad Pump Automatic Leveling System, Class A Gas, Class 8 Motorhome, 17,000 lb Cylinders, 18" Stroke, Weld-On

Heavy-duty fully automatic leveling system for Class A gas and Class 8 motorhomes (Ford F53, Chevy Kodiak 5500, Freightliner M2 and similar — under 24,000 lbs GVWR). Four independent quad pump units — one per corner — deliver nearly 4× the pump life of central pump systems. One-touch auto-level and one-touch auto-retract. 17,000 lb per cylinder, 18" stroke. 100 sq in Bigfoot pads. 240 lbs complete. Made in USA. Weld-on installation.

Why Choose the Bigfoot AKQ-8A1?

Class A gas motorhomes and Class 8 coaches in the 19,000–24,000 lb GVWR range represent some of the largest, heaviest units on the road — and their leveling systems need to match. The Bigfoot AKQ-8A1 is Quadra Manufacturing's answer for this chassis category: a quad pump automatic leveling system with individual hydraulic power units at each of the four corners, delivering both the lifting capacity and the long-term reliability that heavy coaches demand.

The quad pump architecture is the AKQ-8A1's defining advantage over central pump systems. Because each cylinder has its own dedicated marine-grade pump and motor, every pump runs only 25% as often as a single central pump would — cycling only when its own corner jack is in operation. Fewer cycles means dramatically less wear, and Bigfoot's own data puts quad pump longevity at nearly four times that of central pump alternatives. Each pump unit is wrapped in a weatherproof steel housing designed to mount outside the coach, preserving every inch of interior storage space. Four powder-coated cylinders — each rated at 17,000 lbs with 18" of stroke, machined at Quadra's White Pigeon, Michigan facility, hand-assembled, and 100% leak tested — carry a lifetime warranty. Press one button to level, press one button to retract. The all-up safety alarm prevents driving off with any cylinder extended. Manual individual control of each jack is available for fine-tuning or severely uneven terrain. The 100 square inch Bigfoot ground pads provide stable contact on soft or uneven surfaces. At 240 lbs complete with all components and hardware, the AKQ-8A1 is the definitive automatic leveling solution for Class A gas and Class 8 motorhome owners who want decades of reliable service. Built entirely in America.

🔄 Quad Pump — 4× Longer Pump Life

One independent pump per corner — each runs only 25% of the time, delivering nearly 4× the service life of central pump systems

Press once to fully level, press once to fully retract — complete automation with no user monitoring or adjustment required

💪 17,000 lb Per Cylinder / 18" Stroke

Heavy-duty cylinders rated for the largest Class A gas and Class 8 coaches — more capacity and longer stroke than the lighter AKC-8A1

♾️ Lifetime Cylinder Warranty

All cylinders machined in-house at Quadra's Michigan facility, hand-assembled, and 100% leak tested — backed by a lifetime warranty

ℹ️ Why Quad Pump? The Case for Independent Corner Units

Most RV leveling systems use a single central pump to power all four jacks. The AKQ-8A1 takes a fundamentally different approach — four independent pump units, one dedicated to each corner jack.

The math on pump life: A central pump runs every time any jack operates — 100% of the total operating time across all four corners. Each quad pump runs only when its own corner jack is in use — approximately 25% of the total operating time. With equal usage across all four corners, each quad pump accumulates roughly one-quarter the cycles of a central pump. Bigfoot quantifies this as nearly 4× the pump life.

No single point of failure: If a central pump fails, all four jacks are inoperable. If one quad pump requires service, the other three corners still function. This redundancy matters when you're parked at a remote campsite or mid-trip far from service.

Why it matters more for heavy coaches: Heavier Class A gas and Class 8 coaches put more load on each cylinder and require more operating time to reach level. The quad pump advantage compounds at higher GVWR — exactly the application the AKQ-8A1 is built for.

✅ Compatible Chassis — Class A Gas & Class 8 Motorhomes

Compatible Chassis:
• Ford F53 (Class A Gas Motorhome Chassis)
• Chevrolet Kodiak 5500
• Freightliner M2
• Similar Class A Gas and Class 8 chassis under 24,000 lbs GVWR

GVWR Range:
• Designed for coaches in the approximately 19,000–24,000 lb GVWR range
• For lighter Class A gas coaches under approximately 20,000 lbs GVWR, see the AKC-8A1 (central pump, 12K lb cylinders) — call Quadra at 1-800-752-9815 to confirm which system fits your coach weight

Compatible Coach Brands (on qualifying chassis):
• Tiffin
• Newmar
• Entegra
• American Coach
• Coachmen
• Winnebago
• Thor Motor Coach
• Holiday Rambler
• Most other Class A gas motorhomes on Ford F53, Kodiak 5500, or Freightliner M2 chassis under 24,000 lbs GVWR

NOT for: Diesel pusher coaches, buses, or vehicles over 24,000 lbs GVWR — those require a different system. Call Quadra at 1-800-752-9815 to confirm the right system for your specific coach and GVWR.

⚠️ Weld-On Installation — Professional Required

The AKQ-8A1 requires professional weld-on installation. This is not a bolt-on or DIY system — frame bracket welding, hydraulic line routing and bleeding, electrical wiring, and proper torque on all safety-critical fasteners require professional expertise.

Installation Requirements:
• Professional welding for all four corner cylinder frame brackets
• Removal of any existing leveling system hardware from the frame
• Mounting of four independent pump units at each corner
• Hydraulic line routing, bleeding, and pressure testing at all four corners
• Electrical wiring and control panel installation
• All-up safety alarm wiring to ignition
• Proper torque on all safety-critical fasteners

Factory Installation Available in White Pigeon, Michigan:
Quadra Manufacturing offers professional AKQ-8A1 installation with free overnight parking, 30-amp hookup, WiFi, handicap-accessible lounge and restrooms, pet-friendly facilities, and veteran discounts. Call 1-800-752-9815 to schedule.

Complete System Features & Benefits
