This shock does not fit the 1997 light-duty F-250 with 8-lug wheels. The 1997 model year F-250 was offered in two configurations — light-duty and heavy-duty — with different rear suspension setups. The 8-lug light-duty version is excluded from this application. Verify your F-250's wheel bolt pattern and configuration if ordering for a 1997 model year truck.
Hardware Note: Includes lower spring mount only. Your original factory rubber bushings and steel washers from the old shock must be saved and reused during installation — do not discard them before removal.
