The Blue Ox Patriot Braking System is a vast improvement over "on/off" systems, which brake at a single pre-set level, the Patriot has a proportional design for equal braking. The actuator inside your towed vehicle applies the brakes with the same intensity that you apply to them in your RV. If you slam on the RV's brakes in an emergency situation, the Patriot engages your towed vehicle's brakes with virtually the same intensity. If you press the RV's brakes just enough to slow a bit, your towed vehicle's brakes are depressed just enough to slow it down, as well. The result is improved control, better stopping and less wear on both your car's and RV's brakes.

The Blue Ox Patriot Braking System works for your motorhome and tow car by safely bringing it to a smooth stop with proportional braking.

No more wires, monitor all brake functions or manually apply brakes from the comfort of the driver’s seat through a wireless remote control that continuously communicates with the braking system. Built in battery ensures power is always available to the brake. By using an electric cylinder there are no air pumps, storage tanks or hoses; therefore there is no chance for leaking and greatly reduces power required. On the brake itself, there is an easy-to-read LED display, complete with one set up button, a break away plugin, manual adjustment for sensitivity, on/off switch and an auxiliary 12-volt connection. In-coach controller complete with a manual brake lever, easy-to-read LED display and gain adjustment.
