The Curt 45409 solves a common towing mismatch: when a ball mount shank is too small to fit securely into a larger receiver tube. This reducer sleeve converts a 3" x 3" receiver opening to a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" opening, letting you use a standard 2-1/2" ball mount in a 3" receiver hitch.
Built from high-strength carbon steel, it's CNC-formed, robotically welded, and mechanically descaled for a smooth surface before being finished in a durable black carbide powder coat for rust, chip, and UV resistance. It installs easily — simply insert it into your hitch receiver and secure it with a hitch pin (sold separately).
