The Curt 49950 provides a permanent safety-chain attachment point for custom trailer hitch fabrication and repair projects. Its high-strength solid-steel construction is designed to be welded directly to a compatible hitch, receiver structure, or other properly engineered towing component.
The loop measures 6" long x 2" wide with a 5" x 1-1/4" inside opening, providing generous clearance for compatible safety-chain hooks. Its raw finish requires no coating removal before welding and can be painted or otherwise protected after installation.
