The Curt 57251 provides a simple solution when the tow vehicle is equipped with a 7-way RV blade socket but the trailer uses a 5-way flat plug. The adapter plugs directly into the vehicle's existing 7-way socket and accepts the trailer's 5-way flat connector without requiring modifications to either wiring system.
The 5-way flat connection supports standard trailer taillights, brake lights and turn signals, along with a fifth circuit commonly used for reverse lights or a boat trailer surge-brake lockout. Its compact plug-and-play design makes it easy to install, remove and store as needed.
