This S-hook features heat-treated steel construction for long-lasting wear resistance, finished with a durable zinc plating to outlast the elements. It has a 3/8" diameter and a gross trailer weight capacity of 2,000 lbs. It also includes a wire safety latch that, similar to a quick link, keeps the safety chain connection from coming loose due to vehicle vibrations or jarring on uneven terrain. For added confidence, this S-hook is tested in accordance with SAE J684 specifications.
