Gravity draining a fresh water tank without a proper valve often means water going everywhere except where you want it. The Camco 22223 solves that with a compact shutoff valve that mounts flush to the tank and accepts standard vinyl tubing on its barbed outlet. Open the valve, run a hose to a drain or bucket, and empty the tank cleanly.

The stepped barb on this valve is designed to grip standard flexible vinyl tubing. Use 1/2" ID tubing for a snug fit on the larger barb step, or 3/8" ID tubing on the smaller step. For secure outdoor use, clamp the tubing with a small hose clamp -- the barb alone holds tubing under gravity flow but a clamp adds insurance.
This valve is designed to replace an existing drain plug or drain fitting on a fresh water tank that has a compatible threaded or flanged drain port. Thread fit and port size vary by tank manufacturer -- confirm your tank's drain port accepts this valve before ordering. Most installations require only basic hand tools. Apply thread seal tape (PTFE) to any threaded connection before installing.
This valve is a gravity-drain valve intended for tank drain ports only. It is not rated for use on pressurized water supply lines, city water connections, or pump outlet fittings. Do not use it to control flow under city water or pump pressure.
