Most travel trailers ship with a hollow rear bumper that just collects water, mud, and road debris. The Camco 40332 solves that with a clean-fitting end cap that also doubles as a motion-activated solar LED light. Mount it, set the mode, and walk away -- the built-in solar panel trickle-charges the lithium-ion cell all day so the light is ready when you need it after dark.
The 4,500K daylight-white LED throws enough light to see what you're doing at the rear of the rig -- finding the sewer cap, unhooking chains, or just navigating the campsite after sunset. Neodymium magnet attachment means the cap stays put on the road but lifts off in seconds when you need access to the bumper storage tube.

The Camco 40332 is designed specifically for 4-inch square hollow steel bumpers -- the standard rear bumper tube found on a wide range of travel trailers and fifth wheels. This is the most common hollow bumper size in the North American RV market. If your bumper opening measures 4 inches x 4 inches on the inside of the tube, this cap is the correct fit.
Measure the inside opening of your bumper tube. This cap is sized for 4" x 4" square hollow bumpers. It does not fit round bumpers, bumpers with welded end plates, or bumpers smaller or larger than the 4-inch square spec. If your rig has a 3-inch or bumper storage tube of a different profile, a different cap size will be needed.
A small mode switch on the cap cycles through three settings:
Motion mode is the best everyday setting for campsite use. The sensor detects movement and holds the light on for a set dwell period before shutting off, conserving the charge for repeated activations throughout the night.
The neodymium magnet plate on the back of the cap grips directly to the steel bumper face. Slide it on, orient the solar panel upward to face the sky, select your mode, and you are done. Removal is just as easy -- no tools, no damage to the bumper finish. Works equally well on powder-coated and painted steel bumpers.
For maximum charge, position the cap so the solar panel faces up or at an angle that gets direct sunlight for several hours per day. In heavily shaded campsites, runtime will be shorter. Wiping the panel face with a damp cloth periodically keeps charging efficiency high.
The neodymium magnet holds the cap in place during normal travel and campsite use, but the cap is not a locking cover. If you store items in your hollow bumper tube (sewer hoses are common), the magnet provides enough retention for road use -- but always double-check the cap is fully seated before departure. The cap does not thread or latch; it relies entirely on magnetic attraction to the steel tube face.
