Camco 41063 Pro-Strength targets all of these problems at once -- cleaning the surface down to the membrane and depositing conditioning agents that help maintain flexibility and resist future buildup.

The formula is blended with anionic and nonionic surfactants, alkali, and sodium metasilicate, giving it the muscle to lift embedded grime without requiring aggressive scrubbing. The 32 oz ready-to-use spray bottle makes application straightforward: spray, scrub lightly, rinse.

Application Tips

Getting the best results from Camco 41063 is straightforward, but a few steps make a measurable difference:

  • Work in sections -- apply to a manageable area (roughly 4 x 4 ft), scrub, then rinse before moving on to prevent the cleaner from drying on the surface.
  • Use a soft-bristle brush or a non-abrasive scrub pad. Avoid wire brushes or aggressive pads that can damage the membrane.
  • Rinse thoroughly with clean water after each section. Residue left on the roof can attract dirt faster.
  • Clean in cooler conditions or in the shade when possible. Direct sun can cause the product to dry too quickly.
  • For stubborn black streaks at the roof-sidewall junction, apply product directly and allow a short dwell time (1-2 minutes) before scrubbing.

Roof Membrane Compatibility

This product is specifically formulated and tested for rubber roof membranes. It is safe for:

  • EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) -- the most common rubber roof type on RVs and motorhomes.
  • TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) -- increasingly common on newer RV builds.

Do not use this product on fiberglass, painted aluminum, or rubber roofs with a factory-applied UV coating not compatible with alkaline cleaners. Check your roof manufacturer's specifications if you are unsure of your membrane type.

Not Sure What Roof Type You Have? EPDM roofs are typically matte black or dark gray underneath a white coating and feel slightly spongy underfoot. TPO roofs are usually bright white, more rigid, and have a slightly slicker surface feel. Both are common on travel trailers, fifth wheels, Class A, Class B, and Class C motorhomes produced after the mid-1990s.
