For maximum hold, clean the mounting surface with rubbing alcohol or a mild non-greasy cleaner before installing. Oils, wax, soap residue, and road grime all reduce suction strength. A freshly cleaned surface gives the cup the best chance to seat fully and hold firmly.
No instruction sheet or tools needed. Press the suction cup flat against a clean, smooth surface, then twist the locking ring or tab clockwise until it stops. The cup flattens and locks, creating vacuum pressure. To remove, twist counter-clockwise and the cup releases without pulling or prying.
The suction cup will not hold reliably on textured, pebbled, rough, painted drywall, raw wood, brick, or any surface with visible grain or pores.
