The Camco 44340 is the keyed step-up from Camco's non-locking thumb-turn cam lock (44333). If you store tools, generator fuel, leveling blocks, or valuables in your basement or mid-ship compartments, a thumb-turn offers convenience -- not security. The 44340 changes that with a keyed cylinder that requires a physical key to rotate the cam and release the door.
Installation is a direct swap in any door already prepped for a standard 3/4" round cam lock hole. The 5/8" cylinder length suits standard panel thicknesses common on travel trailers, fifth wheels, Class A and Class C motorhomes, and cargo trailers. Two keys are included so you have a backup from day one.

The 44340 uses the same 3/4" mounting hole and 5/8" cylinder length as the non-locking Camco 44333 thumb-turn cam lock. If you are upgrading from a thumb-turn to a keyed lock, this is the direct replacement -- no drilling, no panel modification required in standard applications.
The included offset cam has a bend that allows it to reach catches positioned slightly above or below the cylinder centerline -- common on OEM RV door frames. The straight cam works where the strike plate or latch bar aligns directly with the cylinder. Test-fit before final installation to confirm which cam seats flush and rotates freely without binding.
Each Camco 44340 lock ships with its own unique key. Multiple 44340 units installed on the same RV will NOT share a key unless you specifically purchase a keyed-alike set.
