Drop-in LED upgrade for RV backup lights, interior fixtures, and clearance lights using the common 921 T10 wedge base. Nine LEDs deliver 95 lumens of bright white light at just 0.9 watts -- a fraction of the draw of the incandescent bulb it replaces -- while running cooler and lasting far longer.
The #921 bulb is one of the most common sizes used in RVs, appearing in backup lights, step lights, dome fixtures, vanity lights, and marker applications. The stock incandescent version runs hot, burns out frequently, and pulls more amps than it should from your 12V system. Camco's 54623 LED replacement plugs directly into the same T10 wedge socket with zero modifications required.
With nine individual LEDs arranged for 360-degree illumination, this bulb lights the socket housing evenly from all sides -- important in dome and wedge housings where a single-direction LED would leave dead spots. At 0.9 watts versus the roughly 18 watts of a comparable incandescent 921, you're cutting current draw by approximately 95 percent per bulb. In a rig with multiple 921-type fixtures, that adds up quickly on battery power.
9 LEDs positioned around the bulb body illuminate the fixture housing from all angles, eliminating the dark-side problem common with directional LED upgrades.
0.9 watts at 12V versus approximately 18W for a standard 921 incandescent -- significant savings when running on battery or solar without shore power.
Solid-state LED construction has no filament to break. Road vibration, rough campsites, and slide-out movement that kill incandescent bulbs have no effect on LED elements.
LEDs run far cooler than incandescent bulbs, reducing heat buildup inside enclosed fixtures and lowering the risk of lens discoloration or housing damage over time.
This bulb fits any fixture that accepts a T10 wedge base. It is a confirmed drop-in replacement for the following bulb numbers commonly found in RVs, trailers, and tow vehicles:
If your fixture uses any of those three numbers, this Camco LED installs without adapters, rewiring, or socket modification. Simply pull the old bulb, press the new one in, and restore power.
The T10 wedge base installs by aligning the two flat sides of the base with the socket slot and pressing straight in until it seats. No twisting required. If the bulb lights dimly or not at all after installation, reverse the bulb orientation -- LEDs are polarity-sensitive and rotating 180 degrees in the socket corrects this in seconds.
