The Power Maximizer connects two separate branch circuits at the campground pedestal -- one 15-amp standard outlet (NEMA 5-15P) and one 30-amp RV outlet (NEMA TT-30P) -- and combines them into a single 50-amp RV connector (NEMA 14-50R) that plugs directly into your coach's shore power inlet. Your RV's converter or inverter/charger then distributes the available power across both legs of your panel as it normally would.
This adapter must be used in conjunction with properly sized circuit breakers at the campground pedestal. The adapter does not add overcurrent protection -- it relies on the breakers already protecting each outlet. If the 15A breaker trips, your RV will continue drawing from the 30A circuit only.
The combined maximum draw is limited by the two source circuits: 15A at 125V (1875W) plus 30A at 125V (3750W) equals 45A and 5625W total. Your 50-amp RV coach is capable of drawing more than 45A under full load -- keep that in mind when running high-draw appliances. If you exceed the available supply, the pedestal breakers will trip before damage occurs.
