The EZ ZipBlocker is engineered specifically for RV awnings that have an open slot in the roller tube. The 3-foot top insert panel feeds into that slot and rolls up with the awning fabric -- staying safely tucked away during travel. When you set up camp, you simply zip the 6-foot body panel onto the insert. The result is a full 9-foot drop of shade without any complicated rigging or permanent modification to your awning system.
The lightweight woven polyester mesh keeps air flowing, so you stay cooler than you would under solid vinyl, while still cutting out the harsh afternoon sun and reducing glare. Unlike solid vinyl shades, you can still see through the mesh to keep an eye on the campsite, kids, or the view.

The shade fabric is woven 100% polyester with a durable vinyl coating. The weave structure is what gives the EZ ZipBlocker its combination of UV blockage and airflow -- it is not a solid panel. The black colorway minimizes glare reflection back toward the RV and maintains outward visibility better than lighter colors.
First-time installation requires feeding the lead panel into the open slot in the roller tube. This is a one-person job but is easier with a second person to keep the fabric straight. After the lead is seated in the tube, roll up the awning to confirm it travels cleanly before attaching the body panel. The awning must have an open-slot roller tube -- this shade will not work on awnings with enclosed or solid-wall tubes.
This 19-ft model is sized for awnings 19 feet wide and longer. The top panel insert is trimmed to fit during installation if needed. The shade is designed for Carefree of Colorado awning systems with open-slot roller tubes but is also compatible with other brands -- including many Dometic and A&E awnings -- that share the same open-slot tube design.
