Keep your Carefree Latitude awning motor protected and looking factory-fresh. This is the genuine OEM replacement cover for the right-hand motor arm, engineered to fit exactly like the original and defend the motor from UV exposure, rain, dust, and road debris.
The motor is the most expensive single component in your Carefree Latitude awning system. A cracked, faded, or missing motor cover exposes it directly to the elements -- UV rays degrade plastic housings, water intrusion causes corrosion, and road grit accelerates wear on seals and wiring. This Carefree of Colorado R001783-006 cover replaces the original right-side enclosure with a direct OEM fit.
This is the right-side cover only. When standing outside your RV facing the awning, the right-side motor arm is on your right. Verify your motor arm orientation before ordering -- the left-side cover is a separate part number.
Manufactured by Carefree of Colorado to match original Latitude awning arm dimensions and mounting points exactly -- no trimming or adapter hardware needed.
Designed specifically for the right motor arm of the Latitude awning series. Asymmetric profile ensures correct orientation and full coverage of the motor housing.
Black color-matched to standard Latitude arm assemblies. Material is UV-stabilized to resist fading and brittleness from prolonged sun exposure on the road or in storage.
Mounting screws are included in the package. No hunting for hardware -- snap the cover in place and drive the screws.
Stand on the ground facing the side of your RV where the awning is mounted. Look at the awning as it would be deployed. The right side is the arm on your right as you face the RV wall. The motor is typically located in one arm only; verify which arm houses your motor before selecting left or right cover.
If you are unsure, locate the power wire running into the arm -- that arm is the motor side, and its position (left or right as you face the RV) determines which cover you need.
The Latitude is Carefree of Colorado's full-cassette electric awning line, widely installed as OEM equipment on travel trailers, fifth wheels, and Class A and C motorhomes from manufacturers including Keystone, Forest River, Coachmen, Thor, and others. The Latitude uses a self-contained cassette housing that protects the fabric when retracted, and a motorized arm system for one-touch deployment.
Motor covers on the Latitude arms are high-cycle components -- they flex slightly every time the awning opens and closes, and they take direct UV and weather exposure. Replacement is a routine maintenance item, especially after several seasons in service.
