The Coleman Mach 9630A751 is the heat pump and heat-ready control box in the 9-Series Zone Control system — the most capable option in the 9-Series control box family for RVs with heat pump units or heat-ready air conditioners where electric supplemental heat may be added. It pairs exclusively with the Zone Control 9-Series Digital Thermostat (9330A3341 in Black or 9330A3351 in White) to deliver unified temperature management across up to four rooftop units and four independent heating zones from a single wall-mounted control point.
Each control box is installed in the ceiling plenum of its corresponding rooftop unit, where it receives low-voltage (12 VDC) switching signals from the thermostat and uses those signals to energize the relays that control the 115 VAC rooftop unit. The zone daisy-chain wiring topology connects Zone 1 through Zone 4 boxes in sequence — Zone 4 is wired by jumpering from the Zone 3 box — allowing multi-unit systems to be managed without running individual thermostat wires to each unit.
An evaporator freeze sensor is included with the control box and shipped separately in an envelope for installation by quick-connect to the terminal strip marked "FREEZE." This sensor monitors evaporator temperature and protects against freeze-up under conditions that restrict airflow — a common risk in ducted installations. Backup electric heat strips are available as an optional add-on: the correct heat strip part number depends on your rooftop unit series (see heat strip section below).

The 9630A751 is heat-ready — electric heat strips are available as an optional upgrade but are not included. Order the correct heat strip for your rooftop unit series: • 4700 series units: Use heat strip #47233-4551 • All other series (45000, 48000, 49000): Use heat strip #9233A4551 Heat strips are installed into the return air opening of the ceiling plenum. The heater bracket must be installed between the basepan and the extrusion during installation. Follow the installation instructions included with the heat strip for proper positioning and fastening.
The 9-Series zone control system (control boxes and thermostat) is not backward compatible with the previous 8-Series zone control components. Mixing 9-Series and 8-Series components in the same installation will result in improper operation. If upgrading from an 8-Series zone control system, both the thermostat and all control boxes must be replaced with 9-Series components at the same time. Partial upgrades are not supported. Use the 8-Series zone control components (such as 8330D3351) only as direct replacements for existing 8-Series installations.
There are three 9-Series zone control boxes — selecting the right one depends on your rooftop unit type: • 9430A751 — Cool Only: for standard AC units without heat strip capability • 9430A755 — Heat Ready: for heat-ready ACs where an electric heat strip may be added • 9630A751 — Heat Pump / Heat Ready (this item): for heat pump units and heat-ready ACs — supports full heat pump heating and optional electric backup heat All three control boxes use the same 9330A3341 or 9330A3351 thermostat.

All three 9-Series control boxes are repair parts only and are not backward compatible with 8-Series zone control components. All three use the same Zone Control 9-Series Digital Thermostat (9330A3341 or 9330A3351). If your rooftop unit is a heat pump, the 9630A751 is the required control box. If your unit is heat-ready but not a heat pump, use the 9430A755.
