Dayton49 CFM / 3080 RPMReplaces 4C761Dayton 1TDN4 Replacement Blower Motor -- 49 CFM, 115V, Clockwise Rotation

The Dayton 1TDN4 is a direct replacement blower motor engineered to restore proper airflow in HVAC equipment, RV furnaces, space heaters, and other small forced-air applications. It delivers a reliable 49 CFM at 3080 RPM from a compact 115V/60Hz motor, making it a drop-in fix when the original Dayton 4C761 fails. Also catalogued as NBK Parts 20660.

Compact, Ball-Bearing Motor Built for Long Service Life

The 1TDN4 uses precision ball bearings rather than sleeve bearings, which extends motor life in both horizontal and vertical mounting orientations and holds up better in environments with temperature swings. Class B insulation means it is rated for continuous duty at elevated winding temperatures, giving you a motor that handles real-world heat without premature failure.

At just 6 lbs and measuring approximately 4-1/2" tall x 4-1/8" wide x 4-1/2" deep, this is a genuinely compact unit. The 2-7/8" diameter squirrel-cage wheel and 2-1/2" inlet keep the airflow path efficient for the motor's power class. Automatic overload protection shuts the motor down before heat damage occurs if the wheel is obstructed or the unit is run outside its design envelope.

49 CFM Airflow

Moves 49 cubic feet per minute -- adequate for furnace combustion air, space heater blowers, and small duct fans in compact RV and residential equipment.

Ball Bearing Construction

Ball bearings outperform sleeve bearings in longevity and multi-orientation mounting. Suitable for horizontal or vertical shaft installations.

Automatic Overload Protection

Built-in thermal overload shuts the motor down if it overheats, protecting the winding and downstream equipment from damage.

Direct Replacement for 4C761

Drop-in replacement for Dayton model 4C761. Same shaft diameter, wheel dimensions, flange pattern, and rotation direction. Also catalogued as NBK 20660.

Drop-In Fitment: The 1TDN4 matches the 4C761 on all critical dimensions -- 6mm shaft diameter, 2-7/8" wheel, 3-7/16" x 3-1/8" mounting flange, and clockwise rotation (viewed from inlet). No modification needed for a direct swap.
Rotation Convention: Clockwise rotation on this motor is defined as viewed from the inlet (wheel) side. Confirm your existing unit's rotation before ordering. Reversing rotation on a squirrel-cage blower will significantly reduce airflow.
Temperature Limit: Maximum inlet air temperature is 104 deg F (40 deg C). Do not use in applications where inlet air regularly exceeds this threshold, such as direct recirculation of high-temperature furnace exhaust.
Maintenance Tip: Ball bearings are factory-lubricated and sealed -- no field oiling is required. Keep the inlet screen and wheel fins clear of lint, dust, and debris to maintain rated CFM and prevent motor overloading.

Important Information
  • This motor operates on 115V AC / 60 Hz only. It is not compatible with 12V DC, 24V DC, or 230V systems.
  • Maximum inlet air temperature is 104 deg F. Exceeding this limit can damage windings and void any warranty.
  • Rotation is clockwise viewed from the inlet side. Verify your application's required rotation before installation -- reversed rotation drastically reduces airflow in squirrel-cage blowers.
  • The 6mm motor shaft must mate with the existing wheel hub. Confirm hub bore size before installation if reusing the original wheel.
  • Automatic overload protection is a thermal device -- after a shutdown event, allow the motor to cool fully before restarting to identify the root cause of the overload.
  • This listing is for the motor assembly only. Mounting hardware, wiring harness, and wheel are not included unless shown in the product photo.
