The Fasco D333 is a proven single-speed shaded pole motor built for fan coil, condenser, and evaporator applications in RV air conditioning units, residential HVAC systems, and commercial heating equipment. With a compact 4.4" diameter frame, Class B insulation, and CSA certification, it is a direct-fit replacement for a wide range of OEM condenser and blower assemblies. Also cross-listed as NBK Parts 20522.
Shaded pole motors are the standard choice for low-torque, continuous-duty fan applications where simplicity and long service life matter most. The D333 uses a self-starting shaded pole design -- no starting capacitor required -- making it a straightforward drop-in when your original condenser or fan coil motor fails. At 1/25 HP and 1550 RPM, it matches the output profile of many factory-installed fan motors in compact HVAC and RV climate systems.
The 3/8" flat-style shaft accommodates standard fan blade hubs without modification in most installations. The 28" lead length gives enough slack to reach terminal blocks in tight equipment cabinets without splicing. Sleeve bearings keep the design simple and quiet under sustained low-speed operation.
Self-starting, no run or start capacitor required. Simple wiring -- connect leads and run.
Built-in thermal overload protection shuts the motor down if it overheats, protecting connected equipment and wiring.
Rated for continuous operation up to 130 deg C (266 deg F) winding temperature, suitable for sustained duty in enclosed air handler cabinets.
Canadian Standards Association certification confirms the motor meets North American electrical safety standards for commercial and residential HVAC use.
The D333 is designed to replace OEM fan coil and condenser motors in a broad range of equipment. Verify shaft diameter (3/8"), shaft type (flat), frame diameter (4.4"), and RPM against your existing motor nameplate before ordering. The open air-over enclosure means the motor is cooled by the airflow it generates -- do not operate without blade and airflow path in place.
"Open air-over" means the motor's windings are cooled by the airstream passing over the motor body from the fan it drives. This is the correct and standard enclosure type for condenser fan and fan coil duty. Do not substitute a TEFC (totally enclosed fan-cooled) motor without consulting your equipment's design specs -- OAO motors rely on the airflow of the application itself to stay within operating temperature.
Maximum rated ambient temperature is 104 deg F (40 deg C). In installations where the surrounding air regularly exceeds this -- such as enclosed engine bays or rooftop units without adequate ventilation -- monitor for thermal cutout trips or consider additional airflow management.
