The Furrion F12VR-AM is a flush-mount 12V DC power receptacle with an integrated mounting plate — a standard cigarette-lighter-style socket that lets RV and marine owners power 12V accessories (phone chargers, fans, lights, inverters, and more) from anywhere the receptacle is wired into the 12V system.
The receptacle accepts any universal car cigarette plug and includes a watertight sealing cap with a secure twist lock — when the cap is in place, the IP65-rated housing keeps moisture out of the unused outlet, making it suitable for both interior and exterior/marine installations. Construction is heavy-duty marine-grade engineering nylon with a UV-resistant silicone cap and ring, and brass/nickel-plated terminals for solid, corrosion-resistant contact over time. When wiring this receptacle, size the wire gauge and fuse to the load you intend to draw — not just the receptacle's 15A rating. For reference, Furrion's companion combination unit (F12VRSB-AM, rated 18.1A) is commonly wired with 14-gauge wire and a 20A fuse for runs up to 20 feet; longer runs require heavier gauge wire. Always follow your RV's existing 12V wiring standards and consult an installation professional if unsure.
