The JR Products 03054 screws directly into the RV's city water inlet in place of a garden hose. With the plug installed and the RV's interior faucets and drains open, an air compressor with a standard Schrader-style air chuck connects to the valve to push compressed air through the fresh water lines. This clears out residual water that a gravity drain alone leaves behind, so antifreeze added afterward isn't diluted and provides full freeze protection. The same plug can also be used in reverse during dewinterizing in the spring, helping push leftover antifreeze out of the lines before the first use of the season.
Screw the plug into the city water inlet in place of a hose. Open all interior faucets, the low-point drains, and the water heater bypass valve if equipped. Attach an air compressor to the Schrader valve and apply air pressure, typically in the 45-60 PSI range, until water stops coming from the open faucets. Close each faucet as it runs dry, then proceed with adding RV antifreeze to the lines. Never exceed the pressure rating of your RV's plumbing system.
