Lippert / JT's Strong ArmPart LIP191024Inside-Mount Landing Gear -- Less Than 58"JT's Strong Arm 5th Wheel Jack Stabilizer System -- LIP191024

If your fifth-wheel rocks, bounces, or shifts every time someone moves around inside, the JT's Strong Arm system fixes that permanently. This bolt-on kit ties your front landing gear and rear scissor jacks together with a rigid tube network, cutting out the chassis flex that makes 5th wheels feel unstable at camp. No welding, no fabrication -- just a one-time installation that stays on your rig for good.

Stop the Sway -- Permanently

Fifth-wheel trailers are long, heavy, and built on frames that were designed to flex on the road. That same flex becomes a problem the moment you park. Walking from the bedroom to the kitchen, stepping up into the rig, or even a strong gust of wind can set the whole coach rocking. Slide-outs make it worse by shifting the center of gravity as they extend.

The JT's Strong Arm system works by creating a triangulated brace network between the front landing gear legs and the rear stabilizer jacks. Instead of each jack working independently, the tubes lock everything into a unified structure that resists movement in every direction -- front to back, side to side, and corner to corner.

Bolt-On Installation

No welding required. All hardware is included for a permanent attachment to your trailer frame. Install once and it stays.

Universal Frame Compatibility

Works with C-channel, I-beam, and H-beam trailer frames. Brackets accommodate the three most common RV frame profiles.

Supports All Jack Types

Attaches to scissor jacks, electric/electronic jacks, and telescoping jacks. One kit covers the most common 5th wheel jack configurations.

T-Handle Locking System

Each tube locks tightly in place with a T-handle mechanism. Quick to deploy and secure; no tools needed after initial setup.

One-Time Setup, Every-Night Benefit

The brackets mount permanently to your trailer. When you make camp, you extend and lock the tubes -- no re-installing hardware each trip. The system is ready to deploy every time you level up.

What's In the Box

The LIP191024 kit includes everything needed for a complete installation on a qualifying fifth-wheel trailer:

  • 6 stabilizer tubes total -- 4 for the front landing gear area, 2 for the rear
  • All mounting brackets and installation hardware
  • T-handle locking mechanisms for each tube
  • No additional hardware kits required for standard installations
Inside-Mount Landing Gear -- Important Fitment Note

The LIP191024 (this kit) is correct when your front landing gear legs mount to the inside of your fifth-wheel's main frame rails. If your landing gear mounts to the outside of the main frame, you need part 191023 instead. Check which side your landing gear brackets attach to before ordering.

Landing Gear Spacing Requirement

This kit is sized for fifth-wheel trailers where the distance between the two front landing gear legs is 58 inches or less. Measure the center-to-center or outside-to-outside span of your landing gear before purchasing. Trailers with wider landing gear spacing require a different kit.

Measure Before You Order

The 58" dimension refers to the spacing between the front landing gear legs on your 5th wheel -- not the overall trailer width. Grab a tape measure and check before ordering. Using a kit sized for the wrong span will result in tubes that don't reach or bracket hardware that won't align properly.

Compatible Jack Types

The Strong Arm bracket system is designed to attach to the three most common jack types found on fifth-wheel trailers:

  • Scissor jacks -- the most common type on production 5th wheels
  • Electronic (power) jacks -- single-leg or dual-leg electric landing gear
  • Telescoping jacks -- found on some higher-end and older trailers

If you are unsure of your jack type, look at the rear stabilizer corners and the front landing gear. Scissor jacks have an X-shaped cross-brace; telescoping jacks extend straight down in a tube-within-tube design; electronic jacks have a motor housing at the top.

Installation Tips

Level your trailer completely before installing or deploying the Strong Arm tubes. Extending the tubes while the trailer is off-level can introduce twist into the frame and make the system harder to lock. Torque all permanent bracket hardware to spec during initial installation and re-check after the first few uses.

Important Information
  • This kit fits fifth-wheel trailers ONLY -- it is not designed for travel trailers or toy haulers with standard A-frame hitches.
  • Verify that your front landing gear legs are spaced 58 inches or LESS before ordering. Wider-spaced trailers require a different kit.
  • Confirm your landing gear mounts to the INSIDE of your main frame rails. Outside-mount landing gear requires part 191023.
  • Do not use this system as a leveling aid -- it is a stabilizer only. Level your trailer with your jacks or leveling blocks before deploying the Strong Arm tubes.
  • Re-torque all permanent bracket fasteners after the first trip and inspect hardware seasonally.
  • Kit weighs 42 lbs. -- plan accordingly for handling during installation.
