Stop wrestling with traditional turnbuckles every time you load or unload your truck camper. The Happijac Qwik-Load Upgrade Kit retrofits your existing tie-down system with a lever-action mechanism that lets you tension, secure, and release your camper in one quick motion -- no tools, no fumbling, no stripped threads.
If you already have traditional turnbuckles on your truck and do not want to replace the entire tie-down system, the Qwik-Load Upgrade Kit is the direct solution. The kit adds lever-action adapters to your existing 1/2" threaded rod turnbuckles, converting them to a clamp-down system that pre-sets tension in a single action. No more spinning a barrel by hand until it is tight enough -- just hook, clamp, and pin.
The reinforced stainless steel hooks attach to both the camper anchor points and the truck tie-down hardware. Once set to your preferred tension, you repeat the same pull every time you load. That consistency matters for protecting your camper, your truck bed, and the frame components that take the stress at highway speed.
Lever-action design pre-sets tension and clamps down in a single pull. No tools required at the tie-down point.
Four locking pins keep handles locked in position while driving. Pins also act as a deterrent against theft and unauthorized removal.
Ergonomic soft handles provide a comfortable grip during tensioning and detach cleanly for compact storage when not in use.
Stainless steel body and reinforced 1/2" solid steel round hook resist corrosion from road salt, rain, and outdoor storage.
The Qwik-Load adapter threads onto the existing 1/2" threaded rod of a standard turnbuckle, replacing the barrel-and-hook end without requiring you to remove the entire tie-down. Once attached, the lever handle sets your desired tension from a saved position -- meaning your second load takes a fraction of the time of the first. The locking pin inserts through the handle to hold it in the closed position for travel.
Because the adapter interfaces with standard 1/2" threaded rod, some turnbuckle designs may require minor modification to accept the Qwik-Load fitting. Check that your existing turnbuckle rods are 1/2" diameter threaded before ordering. If your rods are a different diameter or thread pitch, this kit is not compatible without additional hardware.
Truck campers shift load dynamically -- acceleration, braking, cornering, and road vibration all place repeated stress on tie-down hardware. Turnbuckles that work loose in transit are a leading cause of camper damage and dangerous road incidents. The Qwik-Load system addresses this by giving you a positive, repeatable locking position you can verify by sight and by pin engagement rather than by feel alone.
Full-timers and frequent weekend users who load and unload the same camper repeatedly will see the biggest time savings. Even occasional campers benefit from the reduced physical effort -- particularly useful when loading alone or in cold weather when grip and hand strength are reduced.
