The mat is woven from 100% all-weather polypropylene yarn. Polypropylene does not absorb water, which is why it dries quickly and resists mold and mildew even when left outside through wet weather. The fibers are solution-dyed, meaning the color runs through the yarn rather than sitting on the surface -- this is what gives it long-term UV resistance without fading.
At 6 ft x 9 ft, this mat covers the typical slideout-side or door-side patio area for Class A, Class C, fifth wheels, and travel trailers. It works equally well as an awning mat under a 10- to 12-foot power or manual awning, leaving room to pull chairs and a small table onto the mat without crowding the edges.
The reinforced corner loops are compatible with standard ground stakes (tent stakes or dedicated mat stakes). In low-wind conditions the mat lies flat on its own, but staking is recommended on gravel or uneven surfaces where wind can catch an edge. Tie-down stakes are not included in this kit.
