The mounting post anchors to the slide room floor structure, and the five included clips attach the rail to the post and guide points along the travel path. The rail is flexible enough to route around existing structure without cutting or grinding. Most installs are completed with basic hand tools. Ensure all lines are properly seated in the clips and that the arc the rail forms during full retraction clears any frame members before putting the slide through a full cycle.
Inspect the Flex Guard clips annually and after any hard travel on rough roads. Clips can loosen over time. Re-seat any that show movement and check that hoses and wiring are not chafing against the rail edges. A quick visual check every season adds years of protection.
