The STP54-074 is a single cover sized for shallow narrow steps only (19.5" x 7"). It is the correct cover for the lower/upper steps on narrow StepAbove® systems — not for the top (deeper) step and not for wide steps. Before ordering, confirm: • Your step is 19.5" wide (narrow model) — not 23.5" (wide model) • Your step is a shallow step (7" deep) — not the deeper top step (9.5" deep) Wrong cover for your step? On the MORryde Gen II StepAbove® narrow step system, treads come in two depths: Top Step (Deep — 9.5"): The uppermost step is deeper to accommodate the door threshold. This step uses the STP54-073 (19.5" x 9.5") individual cover or is included in the narrow multi-packs (STP54-068/069) as the one deep cover. Lower/Upper Steps (Shallow — 7"): All steps below the top step are shallower at 7" deep. The STP54-074 (19.5" x 7") covers these steps individually. Each multi-pack (STP54-068 and STP54-069) contains multiple of these shallow covers. The STP54-074 is the correct individual replacement for any lower step on a narrow StepAbove® system.
Replacing a Single Step Tread: 1. Measure First: Confirm your step is 19.5" wide and 7" deep before applying — the cover must match the step surface dimensions 2. Remove Old Tread: Carefully peel away the existing worn or damaged tread. Remove any remaining adhesive residue from the step surface 3. Clean the Step Surface: Wipe the step clean and dry — remove all dirt, grease, and moisture for best adhesion 4. Position the Cover: Hold the STP54-074 over the step to confirm alignment before peeling the backing 5. Peel and Press: Remove the backing and press the cover firmly onto the step surface, smoothing from center outward to prevent air bubbles or lifting edges 6.
