The MaxxAir 10A40009K is the OEM replacement dome lid for MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus roof vents. It replaces a cracked, broken, yellowed, or UV-damaged lid without requiring removal of the entire vent unit from the roof — only the hinge pin needs to be released (by removing a Phillips screw on each side) to disconnect the lift arm supports and swap the lid.
The smoke-colored dome is constructed of high-density polypropylene for durability and weather resistance. The tinted smoke finish filters UV rays, helping reduce interior heat and glare. The lid is approximately 14-13/16" square and is compatible with the MaxxAir II Cover, so an existing rain/travel cover can be retained after the lid replacement. Note that the profile of the 10A40009K is slightly less rounded than older MaxxFan lid designs — this is cosmetic only and does not affect fit or function.
The 10A40009K can be installed in under 20 minutes without removing the vent unit from the roof. To replace the lid: remove the Phillips screw from each side of the existing lid to release the hinge pin, disconnect the lift arm supports from the lid, position the new lid, and reconnect the hardware. No special tools are required beyond a Phillips screwdriver. Installation instructions are available from MaxxAir.
The 10A40009K is designed for MaxxFan (MA00A04401K) and MaxxFan Plus (MA00-04500K) roof vents only. It is not compatible with the MaxxFan Deluxe series — Deluxe models require a different replacement lid. If you have a MaxxFan Deluxe, refer to the appropriate Deluxe replacement lid for your model number. Confirm your vent model number before ordering; the model number is located on the upper side of the vent assembly (visible when the vent is open from inside the RV).
