The Performance Tool W5009 is a compact 12V heater and defroster that mounts on the dash to quickly clear and warm windshields and other surfaces. A 360-degree swivel base allows it to be aimed as needed, and a swing-out handle lets you pick the unit up and use it as a handheld spot defroster. Separate switches control the heater, fan, and a built-in LED flashlight, giving independent control over each function - a rocker switch toggles between heat and fan-only operation. It plugs directly into a 12V accessory outlet using a 7 ft. cord, and a 15 amp in-line blade fuse protects the unit and vehicle's electrical system.
This heater is not recommended for continuous use beyond 20 minutes at a time. Shut it off for at least 5 minutes between uses to allow it to cool down.
