B&W Hitches Dual-Ball Folding Mount 2-Inch Receiver Compatible B&W Hitches TS10050B Tow-N-Stow -- Adjustable Folding Ball Mount with Dual Hitch Balls

The Tow-N-Stow is B&W Hitches' answer to the cluttered truck bed and the banged-up shin. When you're done towing, the entire ball mount folds up flush against your receiver so it's out of the way, out of sight, and no longer a tripping hazard. When you're ready to hitch up again, flip it down, lock it in, and go. Two hitch balls -- a 2-inch and a 2-5/16-inch -- are built in and ready to work, covering the two most common RV and trailer coupler sizes without swapping hardware.

Stop Fighting Your Ball Mount Every Time You Tow

Most adjustable ball mounts are a two-handed wrestling match -- pull the pin, slide the shank, find the right hole, re-pin it, hope it doesn't rattle. The B&W Tow-N-Stow is built differently. The mount pivots on a precision hinge and locks in the towing position with a secure locking pin. When towing is done, one motion folds it up so it clears your bumper, your shins, and your tailgate swing.

This is a product built for people who tow regularly -- full-timers moving their fifth-wheel's tag-along car, weekenders swapping between a boat and a camper trailer, or truck owners who just hate leaving a steel ball sticking out of their hitch 365 days a year. The dual-ball design means you can hitch a standard travel trailer one weekend and a heavier gooseneck drop-in the next without carrying a socket set in the bed.

Folds Flat When Not Towing

Pivots up against the receiver tube so it clears your bumper, eliminates the shin-height steel hazard, and keeps your tailgate from being blocked.

Two Balls, Always Ready

Comes with both a 2-inch and a 2-5/16-inch hitch ball mounted and ready. Covers the vast majority of RV trailer couplers without any swapping.

Adjustable Rise and Drop

Multiple height positions let you level your trailer for proper towing attitude -- critical for brake performance, sway control, and hitch wear.

Made in the USA by B&W

B&W Hitches manufactures in Humboldt, Kansas. The Tow-N-Stow is machined and finished domestically to tight tolerances -- not a stamped import.

Where the TS10050B Fits in the Tow-N-Stow Lineup

B&W offers the Tow-N-Stow in several configurations matched to different receiver sizes and weight ratings. The TS10050B is designed for a 2-inch receiver hitch -- the most common receiver size on half-ton and three-quarter-ton trucks, SUVs, and vans. It is a black powder-coated model (the "B" suffix in the part number denotes the black finish). If you need a chrome finish, B&W offers a companion chrome version. For 2-1/2-inch or heavy-duty applications, B&W offers separate Tow-N-Stow models in those receiver sizes.

This model ships at 42.5 lbs, which reflects the solid forged and machined steel construction -- this is not a lightweight stamped-steel unit.

Why the Folding Design Matters for RV Owners

When you're camped and unhitched, a standard ball mount turns your receiver into a fixed steel obstacle behind the vehicle. The Tow-N-Stow folds up so you can walk behind your tow vehicle, open the tailgate freely, and avoid damage to bumper covers and lower fascias. For full-timers and frequent towers, this convenience quickly becomes a must-have rather than a luxury.

Compatible Trailers and RV Applications

The dual-ball configuration covers the two standard coupler sizes used across the RV industry:

  • 2-5/16-inch ball -- used on most travel trailers, fifth-wheel tag axles, larger boat trailers, and heavy utility trailers
  • 2-inch ball -- used on lighter travel trailers, pop-up campers, small utility and cargo trailers, and many boat trailers under 3,500 lbs

The adjustable drop/rise positions allow you to properly level a wide range of trailer heights, which is especially important when towing a loaded travel trailer where coupler height changes with tongue weight.

Proper Trailer Leveling Reminder

A trailer that tows nose-up or nose-down puts uneven load on axles, tires, and hitches, and can cause sway at highway speeds. Use the adjustable positions on the Tow-N-Stow to set the ball height so your trailer frame is level when fully loaded. Most RV manufacturers publish the correct coupler height for their trailers -- measure from the ground to the coupler center before selecting your drop or rise setting.

Finish and Corrosion Resistance

The TS10050B wears a durable black powder coat finish over machined steel. Powder coat holds up significantly better than standard paint in road spray, salt, and UV exposure. The "B" suffix in B&W's Tow-N-Stow part numbering system consistently denotes the black powder coat variant across their receiver hitch product line.

Maintenance Tips
  • Inspect the hinge pivot and locking pin before each towing season for wear or deformation
  • Apply a light coat of grease or anti-seize to the pivot pin annually to prevent corrosion binding
  • Grease both hitch balls before each use -- dry balls wear couplers prematurely
  • Verify the locking pin is fully seated and secured before every tow -- never tow with only a friction-fit pin
  • Inspect the receiver fit -- a sloppy receiver-to-shank fit allows movement that fatigues the locking mechanism over time; use a hitch tightener if necessary
Pair It With a Weight Distribution System

The Tow-N-Stow is a standard receiver ball mount. If your loaded trailer tongue weight exceeds the recommended limit for your tow vehicle (typically 10-15% of gross trailer weight), a separate weight distribution hitch head is required. The Tow-N-Stow is designed for conventional direct-hitch towing, not as a head for sway-control or weight distribution systems. B&W also makes the acclaimed Sway Control and weight distribution products if you need that capability.

Important Information -- Read Before Installing or Towing
  • Always verify your tow vehicle's maximum tongue weight and gross trailer weight ratings before towing -- exceeding these limits is unsafe and voids vehicle warranties.
  • Confirm the locking pin is fully inserted and the clip or cotter is secured every single time before you tow. A pivot that unlocks under load can cause complete trailer separation.
  • This is a conventional ball mount -- it is NOT designed for use as a weight distribution hitch head. Do not attach weight distribution bars to this mount.
  • Match the hitch ball to the trailer coupler size exactly. Using a mismatched ball and coupler (e.g. a 2-inch ball in a 2-5/16-inch coupler) is a safety hazard and can cause coupler separation at speed.
  • Verify hitch ball nut torque before each tow. Ball nuts that back off under vibration are a leading cause of coupler separation. Torque to the ball manufacturer's specification -- typically 150-300 ft-lbs depending on ball shank diameter.
  • Inspect the folding hinge and all pivot points for cracks, deformation, or corrosion annually. Replace the unit if any structural damage is found -- do not weld or repair a damaged hitch component.
  • The 2-inch receiver shank must fit snugly in the receiver tube. Do not use this mount in a damaged, cracked, or undersized receiver tube.
