Camco 18V Cordless 12 GPM VortexCore Camco 39030 Rhino Cordless Macerator Pump Kit -- Cordless RV Waste Dumping, No Shore Power Required

The Rhino 39030 gives you full macerator capability without a cord, a generator, or a 12V hookup. It runs on an 18V lithium-ion battery, grinds solid waste with VortexCore blade technology, and pumps at up to 12 GPM with a 10-foot vertical prime -- making it one of the most capable portable macerator kits available for RVers who dump away from traditional hookup stations.

Cordless Freedom -- Dump Anywhere You Can Park

Standard macerator pumps need 12V power from your tow vehicle or RV electrical system, or they need a 120V outlet nearby. The Camco 39030 breaks that dependency. The 18V lithium-ion battery system means you can set up a complete waste dump operation at remote campgrounds, residential septic cleanouts, or anywhere a cord won't reach -- with no adapters and no extension cables running across a parking lot.

VortexCore grinding creates a multi-blade vortex that liquefies solid waste and tissue before it enters the pump chamber, protecting the impeller and preventing clogs. The 12 GPM flow rate empties a standard 40-gallon black tank in roughly 3-4 minutes at full flow. The 10-foot vertical prime spec means the pump can lift waste against gravity -- useful when the pump sits below a raised RV and the dump inlet is at grade or above.

VortexCore Grinding

Multi-blade vortex liquefies solids and tissue before the pump chamber -- fewer clogs, faster flow.

18V Cordless Operation

No 12V tap, no extension cord, no generator. Run the full dump cycle on battery power.

12 GPM Flow Rate

Empties a typical 40-gallon black tank in approximately 3-4 minutes at full rated flow.

10 Ft Vertical Prime

Lifts waste 10 feet vertically -- handles grade differentials and above-ground dump stations.

What Is a Macerator Pump -- and Why Cordless?

A macerator pump connects between your RV's black or gray tank outlet and the dump station or cleanout. Instead of relying on gravity flow through a 3-inch hose, it grinds waste into a fine slurry and pumps it under pressure through a standard garden-hose-diameter discharge line. That smaller hose is easier to handle, can run uphill, and stretches much farther than a rigid sewer hose.

Cordless operation specifically solves the problem of remote and primitive dumping locations. Many boondocking spots, residential properties, and agricultural dump points don't have electrical outlets anywhere near the dump area. With the 39030, you connect the inlet to your tank, connect the discharge hose to the cleanout or portable waste tank, and run the cycle on battery -- no adapters, no improvised power.

Full Kit -- Ready to Use Out of the Box

The 39030 is packaged as a complete kit. It includes the macerator pump unit, the 18V lithium-ion battery, a charger, inlet adapter fittings for standard RV tank outlets, and discharge hose connections. You are not buying just a pump head and sourcing parts separately. Verify kit contents on the product label before your first use to confirm all accessories are present.

Discharge Hose and Run Distance

Because the macerator pumps a liquefied slurry under pressure rather than relying on gravity, the discharge line can be a standard 3/4-inch or 1-inch garden hose rather than a 3-inch sewer hose. This lets you run discharge lines significantly farther -- often 50 to 100+ feet -- to reach a dump point that's inconveniently located. The 10-foot vertical prime spec means the outlet of the discharge line can be up to 10 feet higher than the pump, which covers most practical grade differences at campsites and residential cleanouts.

Gray Tank Flushing

The Rhino macerator can also be used on the gray tank after dumping black. Running gray water through the pump after the black tank cycle helps flush the internal pump chamber and discharge line, reducing odor and residue buildup in the equipment.

Typical Applications

  • Full-time RVers and boondockers dumping at non-standard locations
  • Residential property owners accepting RV waste at a home septic cleanout
  • Campgrounds and dump stations where the dump point is uphill or distant from the pad
  • Portable waste tank transfer from a tote tank to a fixed cleanout
  • Any situation where running a 3-inch gravity sewer hose is impractical or too short

Discharge Line Not Included -- Source Separately

The kit includes adapter fittings and connections, but the discharge garden hose itself may need to be sourced separately depending on your required run length. Use a dedicated hose for waste discharge -- do not repurpose a drinking water hose for this application. Label all waste-handling hoses clearly.

Maintenance Tips for Longer Pump Life

  • Flush the pump with clean water after every use -- run gray water or fresh water through until discharge runs clear
  • Store the pump dry -- leave the inlet and outlet ports uncapped only if completely drained
  • Charge the battery fully before storage to extend lithium-ion cell life
  • Inspect the inlet screen or filter (if equipped) before each use and clear any debris
  • Do not run the pump dry for extended periods -- it requires fluid to lubricate the pump chamber

Pair With a Portable Waste Tote

For campgrounds without on-site dump stations, the Rhino macerator works well paired with a portable waste tote tank (such as the Camco Rhino Tote series). Pump your tanks into the tote, then tow the tote to a dump station -- no need to move the RV.

Important Information -- Read Before Use

  • This pump is designed for RV sewage waste only -- do not use for potable water, fuel, or chemical transfer.
  • Do not run the pump dry. Always ensure fluid is present in the system before and during operation to prevent impeller damage.
  • The discharge hose is not included in the kit -- source an appropriately rated hose for waste transfer; do not use a drinking water hose.
  • Do not attempt to pump non-biodegradable solids (wipes, sanitary products, paper towels). Use only RV-rated 1-ply tissue in tanks connected to this pump.
  • Flush the pump with clean water after every use. Failure to flush can cause odor buildup and corrosion in the pump chamber.
  • Store the battery per the manufacturer's guidelines for lithium-ion cells -- avoid temperatures above 104 deg F or below 32 deg F for extended storage.
  • Verify local regulations before discharging waste to residential septic systems or any non-licensed dump facility.
  • Inspect all fittings and connections for leaks before each use. A loose inlet fitting can result in sewage spill.
