Restore a damaged or cut 30-amp RV shore power cord with a properly rated, wire-on replacement plug. The Camco 55242 PowerGrip uses the standard NEMA TT-30P three-blade configuration required at campground pedestals and delivers a secure, code-compliant connection at 125V/3750W. ETL listed. Wiring instructions included.
A bent blade, cracked housing, or accidentally cut cord end doesn't mean buying a whole new power cord. The Camco 55242 PowerGrip male plug lets you wire on a fresh, properly rated plug end using the existing cord -- saving time and money without compromising safety.
The TT-30P blade configuration is the industry-standard for 30-amp RV shore power connections across North America. This plug fits the receptacles found at virtually every campground pedestal wired for 30-amp service. The ergonomic PowerGrip handle gives you a confident grip when plugging in or pulling free, even in wet conditions or tight utility compartments.
Three-blade layout with one 120-degree-angled hot blade, one neutral blade, and a ground pin -- matches every standard 30-amp RV pedestal receptacle.
Wide, contoured grip makes plugging and unplugging easier, especially with gloves or in cramped hookup areas.
Independently tested and listed to UL standards. Rated 125V/30A/3750W for full 30-amp RV service compatibility.
Accepts stripped wire ends from your existing cord. Wiring diagram and instructions are included in the package -- no guesswork.
The Camco 55242 is a wire-on plug, meaning you strip and attach the wires from your existing cord yourself. The housing unscrews or clamps apart to expose three terminals: hot (black), neutral (white), and ground (green). Terminals are screw-type for secure wire attachment. Wiring instructions are included. If you are not comfortable working with 30-amp wiring, have a qualified RV technician complete the installation.
For 30-amp service, your existing cord must be 10 AWG, 3-conductor (10/3) wire. Using undersized wire (12 AWG or smaller) with a 30-amp plug is a fire and shock hazard. Inspect the full length of the cord for damage before reusing it with a new plug end. Replace the entire cord if the jacket or insulation is cracked, melted, or severely kinked.
