Stop battling a cracked lid, broken hinge, or leaking frame. The Camco 40195 is a true drop-in replacement that fits standard 14" x 14" RV roof vent openings without cutting or major modifications. Whether your rig came with a Jensen, Ventline, or Elixir vent from the factory, this kit gives you a clean, weather-tight, insect-resistant replacement in a single afternoon.
Aging roof vents are one of the most common entry points for water damage and insects in any RV. Cracked plastic lids, worn hinges, and compressed gaskets turn a $30 problem into a $3,000 ceiling repair if ignored. The Camco 40195 replaces the entire exterior vent assembly -- frame, lid, screen, and hardware -- so you are not patching a failing component, you are starting fresh.
The one-piece injection-molded frame creates a continuous seal around the roof opening, eliminating the leak paths that multi-piece frames develop over years of thermal cycling. A built-in insect screen keeps out mosquitoes, flies, and debris without restricting airflow. Three hardware option sets are included in the box, so you can match the fastener pattern of the original vent without a separate hardware run.
Designed to drop into any standard 14" x 14" rough opening -- the most common vent cutout size in travel trailers and motorhomes.
Accommodates roofs from 1-1/4" to 2-1/4" thick, covering laminated, wood-framed, and aluminum-truss roof decks.
Continuous molded frame eliminates the seam gaps that cause leaks on older multi-piece assemblies.
Fine-mesh screen integrated into the vent body blocks insects while the lid is open for ventilation.
Not included: Roof sealant/lap caulk (Camco or Dicor self-leveling sealant recommended), butyl tape for under-flange sealing. Always apply a bead of compatible roof sealant around the perimeter flange after installation.
The Camco 40195 is engineered to replace the most common OEM vent brands found in production RVs:
This kit is for non-powered, manually operated vents only. It does not replace fan-equipped units such as Fantastic Fan, Maxxair, or Dometic powered vents.
Confirm your existing roof cutout measures 14" x 14" (interior rough opening) before purchasing. Some older rigs used non-standard 14" x 14" nominal frames that measure slightly differently at the deck. Also verify your roof deck thickness falls between 1-1/4" and 2-1/4". If your roof is thicker than 2-1/4", this kit will not seat properly.
