When you connect to a campground water pedestal or city water, the hose is your first line of defense against bad taste and harmful contaminants. The TastePURE line is built specifically for potable water duty -- no garden-hose smell, no leaching plasticizers, just clean water from the spigot to your faucet.
The Camco 22803 gives you a full 75 feet of hose length, enough to reach the hookup at most pull-through and back-in sites without stacking connectors. The 5/8" inside diameter delivers solid flow volume for showers, dishwashing, and filling the fresh tank, all from a single, manageable hose that coils and stores without fight.
The reinforced PVC wall resists kinking at bends and connection points -- the spots where cheaper hoses fail first. Brass fittings on both ends thread onto standard 3/4" GHT (garden hose thread) campground spigots and RV water inlets without adapters in typical setups.
Lead-free, BPA-free, and phthalate-free construction meets potable water safety standards. No off-taste, no chemical smell at the faucet.
Fiber-reinforced PVC wall holds its shape at bends. Less kinking means consistent flow and longer hose life compared to standard garden hose stock.
Both ends feature 3/4" GHT male/female brass fittings -- the same thread standard as campground spigots and most RV fresh water inlets.
Full 75 feet handles the longest campsite runs without coupling two shorter hoses together, keeping connection points and potential leak spots to a minimum.
Standard garden hoses are manufactured with plasticizers and stabilizers that were never intended for drinking water contact. Over time -- especially in summer heat -- those compounds leach into the water stream and produce the off-taste and chemical smell that many RVers assume is just "campground water." The TastePURE hose uses materials certified for drinking water contact, so the taste issue starts at the source and stays gone.
Both end fittings are standard 3/4" GHT (garden hose thread, also called NH -- National Hose thread). This is the same thread used on:
No adapters needed for typical campground hookup. Female end connects to spigot; male end connects to your RV inlet or inline filter/regulator.
Campground water pressure varies widely and can spike above 80 PSI -- high enough to damage RV water lines, fittings, and the water heater. This hose does not include a pressure regulator. Camco strongly recommends installing a pressure regulator (such as the Camco 40055 or Camco 40064 adjustable regulator) between the spigot and this hose. The hose itself is rated for normal residential supply pressures; sustained high-pressure spikes shorten hose life and risk downstream damage.
