Stop replacing torn screens and fumbling in the dark. The Camco 42330 is a 2-in-1 aluminum crossbar that physically protects your RV screen from push-through damage while a built-in motion-activated LED automatically illuminates your entryway steps after dark -- no wiring, no switches, no guesswork.
RV screen doors take a beating. Guests, kids, and pets push through them rather than using the handle, and one hard push can split a screen from top to bottom. At the same time, RV steps and entryways go dark the moment the porch light is off, making late-night returns a tripping hazard.
The Camco 42330 crossbar mounts horizontally across the interior face of the screen door, giving everyone a visible, solid grip point that keeps hands away from the screen mesh. The integrated motion sensor detects movement and triggers the LED automatically, lighting the steps for several seconds before shutting off to preserve battery life.
Telescoping aluminum bar adjusts from 21-5/8" to 28-5/8" to fit most standard RV screen door widths without cutting.
Passive IR sensor triggers the LED automatically when motion is detected at the entry -- no manual switch needed.
End brackets are molded from UV-stabilized resin so they resist fading, brittleness, and cracking under prolonged sun exposure.
Crossbar position gives occupants and guests a natural grab point, keeping pressure off the mesh and eliminating the #1 cause of screen tears.
The crossbar mounts to the door frame or door edge using the included hardware and UV-stabilized resin end brackets. The aluminum tube slides inside itself to hit your exact door width, then locks in place. No cutting, no drilling into the screen frame is required on most standard RV doors. The LED unit typically takes two AAA or AA batteries (batteries not included -- see battery spec table).
The 21-5/8" to 28-5/8" adjustment range covers most standard RV entry screen doors found on Class A, Class C, fifth wheels, and travel trailers. Measure your door's interior horizontal span at the intended crossbar height before ordering. Very narrow doors (under 21-5/8") or wide commercial-style doors (over 28-5/8") are outside the rated adjustment range.
