Rewire a trailer with a standard 4-way flat male connector and a generous 20' bonded wire lead. The color-coded wiring supports taillights, brake lights, turn signals, and ground on compatible 2-wire trailer lighting systems.
Curt 57220 is a trailer-side 4-way flat male connector designed for rewiring a trailer while retaining the existing taillights. Its industry-standard plug connects to a compatible vehicle-side 4-way flat socket and provides the basic lighting circuits used by many utility trailers, boat trailers, popup campers, and other trailers without electric brakes.
The attached 20' wire lead provides enough length for many non-commercial trailer applications, while standard color-coded bonded wires simplify routing and circuit identification. The plug itself is constructed from durable molded rubber for reliable use in exposed towing environments.
Provides ample bonded wiring for many complete trailer rewiring applications
Industry-standard trailer-side connection for compatible tow vehicles
Standard wire colors simplify circuit identification during installation
Durable construction resists rust and corrosion
Curt 57220 is the male trailer-side connector. The tow vehicle must already have a compatible female 4-way flat socket or another suitable wiring connection.
A 4-way flat connection provides ground, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals. It does not provide circuits for electric trailer brakes, reverse lights, or 12V auxiliary power.
In The Package: • Curt 57220 4-Way Flat Trailer-Side Male Connector • Attached 20' Color-Coded Bonded Wire Lead • Installation Hardware
The four wires provide ground, taillight / running-light, left turn / brake, and right turn / brake circuits when properly connected.
