A 25-foot reinforced hose built specifically for safe drinking water delivery at your RV or boat. The TastePURE line is designed to resist flavor transfer, kinking, and UV degradation -- three of the biggest problems with bargain water hoses on the road or at the marina.
Most standard garden hoses are manufactured with plasticizers, brass fittings containing lead, and compounds that leach a distinct rubber or chemical taste into your drinking water. The Camco 22833 TastePURE hose is engineered from the inside out to keep your water tasting the way it should -- like water.
The hose body is made from a lead-free, phthalate-free, BPA-free formulation that meets drinking water safety standards. A UV-stabilized outer jacket resists cracking and color fade even after seasons of full-sun exposure at campgrounds. The 5/8" inside diameter delivers strong flow at typical campground water pressures (up to 150 PSI with an inline regulator recommended upstream).
Hose body and machined fittings are free of lead, BPA, and phthalates -- safe for potable drinking water systems.
Reinforced spiral strain-relief collars at both ends prevent the sharp bends that cause kinks and early hose failure.
Outer jacket is formulated to resist UV breakdown, staying flexible and crack-resistant across multiple camping seasons.
Precision-machined swivel fittings create leak-free connections at the pedestal and coach inlet without over-tightening.
Standard hoses -- including most green garden hoses -- contain compounds that leach into water when the hose sits pressurized in the sun. TastePURE's inner liner is specifically formulated to minimize taste and odor transfer, which makes a noticeable difference if you drink, cook, or make coffee from your RV's fresh water system.
Both ends terminate in standard 3/4" GHT (Garden Hose Thread) male/female fittings, the universal standard for campground water pedestals and RV city water inlets across North America. No adapters are needed for typical hookups. The female swivel end connects to the pedestal; the male end threads into your coach inlet or an inline water pressure regulator.
Campground water pressure varies widely -- some sites push 80 PSI or more, which can stress RV plumbing, fittings, and water heater connections. Camco and other manufacturers recommend pairing any water hose with an inline pressure regulator set to 40-65 PSI to protect your rig. The 22833 hose is compatible with standard 3/4" GHT inline regulators.
At 25 feet, the 22833 handles the majority of standard campground hookup distances without excess hose to coil and store. For longer runs or pull-through sites, Camco offers the TastePURE line in 50-foot (part 22853) and 10-foot (22811) versions that can be coupled together using a standard hose coupler. The hose coils tightly without cracking and stores well in a hose bag or cargo bay.
The TastePURE hose is rated for cold potable water supply only. Do not use it for hot water lines, as heat softens the hose wall and can accelerate compound migration into the water. Maximum recommended continuous service temperature is 140 deg F, though cold supply use is the intended application.
