Connects a generator with a NEMA L5-30 3-prong locking outlet to a 30-amp RV shore power cord. 12" dogbone cord, 100% copper 10/3-gauge wire, 90° PowerGrip head, flame-retardant PVC jacket. 125V/3750W. cCSAus certified.
The Camco 55272 is a 12-inch dogbone generator-to-RV adapter that bridges the connection between a portable generator with a NEMA L5-30 3-prong locking outlet and a 30-amp RV shore power cord with a standard TT-30 plug. Many mid-size portable generators — particularly those in the 2,500–4,000 watt range — provide power through an L5-30 twist-lock receptacle. The TT-30P plug on a standard RV power cord won't connect to an L5-30 outlet without this adapter.
The L5-30P male end twists to lock into the generator's L5-30 outlet for a secure, vibration-resistant connection. The TT-30R female end accepts the RV's standard 30-amp shore power plug. The 12-inch cord length keeps the adapter compact and off the ground while still giving enough slack for comfortable connection. 100% copper 10/3-gauge wire, flame-retardant PVC jacket, 90° PowerGrip female head, and cCSAus certification for use in both the U.S. and Canada.
• 1x Camco 55272 L5-30P to TT-30R Dogbone Adapter
The 55272 fits generators with an NEMA L5-30 (3-prong, 125V locking) outlet only. • If your generator has a 4-prong L14-30 locking outlet (125/250V), use the 55338 instead. • If your generator already has a standard TT-30 RV outlet, no adapter is needed — your RV cord plugs directly in. Count the prongs in your generator's locking outlet: 3 prongs = L5-30 = order this (55272). 4 prongs = L14-30 = order 55338.
Both connect a 30-amp generator to a 30-amp RV — the difference is which generator outlet type you have: • 55272 — L5-30P (3-prong locking, 125V) to TT-30R (this item) • 55338 — L14-30P (4-prong locking, 125/250V) to TT-30R Check the label on your generator's outlet or the generator's owner's manual to confirm which locking outlet type it has before ordering.
