The Suburban Mfg 233658 is an OEM replacement low air flow switch (also referred to as an air flow sensor), built for the Suburban ST-42 and ST-60 model water heaters. This switch monitors combustion air flow through the unit, and a failing switch can prevent the water heater from igniting properly or cause it to shut down unexpectedly during operation.
These same ST-42/ST-60 water heaters also use a separate gas valve, sold as part #161357, if that component needs replacing as well.
This switch is designed specifically for Suburban ST-42 and ST-60 model water heaters. Confirm the water heater model matches before ordering, since other Suburban water heater series use different components.
