The Suburban Mfg 233676 is an OEM replacement manual limit switch for the Suburban ST-42 and ST-60 model on-demand (tankless) water heaters. Unlike an automatically resetting switch, this manual-reset design requires a physical reset after it trips, providing a safety checkpoint that helps prevent the unit from restarting automatically after an overtemperature event.
These same ST-42/ST-60 water heaters also use a separate gas valve (part #161357), a low air flow switch (part #233658), and an antifreeze limit switch (part #233675), if any of those components need replacing as well.
