Complete, low-profile two-stage ducted furnace with a variable-speed blower motor, direct spark ignition, and interior serviceability requiring no exterior access door.
The Suburban Mfg 2558A (SF-30FQ) is a complete 30,000 BTU/h two-stage furnace built for mid-size and large RVs. Being a two-stage unit means it contains a two-stage gas valve paired with a variable-speed blower motor, allowing the furnace to run at a lower output for steady, efficient heating and ramp up to full power when more heat is needed. At only 7-1/2" tall, it's a low-profile side-discharge, ducted unit that fits into spaces that might otherwise go unused.
Like other SF-FQ models, this furnace is designed for interior serviceability, connecting to the gas line from the front (inside) of the unit, with only a small vent terminal on the exterior of the coach - no exterior access door is required, permitting installation up to 9" from the wall for a more economical, aesthetically clean setup. It features quiet, multi-ported stainless steel burners, sealed forced-draft combustion, and automatic direct spark ignition.
This is the complete two-stage furnace unit, including the burner assembly, gas valve, variable-speed blower, and ignition system - not just the outer cabinet/housing. If only the cabinet/shell is needed as a standalone part, Suburban's part #103141 is the cabinet-only option for the SF-25FQ, SF-30FQ, and SF-35FQ models.
