The Suburban Mfg 2587A (SF-35VHFQ) is a complete 35,000 BTU/h two-stage furnace built for mid-size and large RVs, and is the direct successor to the older SF-35FQ (previously sold as part #2563A and #2400A). The "VH" in its model name means it can be installed either vertically or horizontally, adding flexibility beyond earlier SF-FQ models, and it offers up to 24% additional airflow compared to standard SF furnaces. At only 7-1/2" tall, it remains a low-profile unit that fits into spaces that might otherwise go unused.
Like other SF-FQ models, the SF-35VHFQ is designed for interior serviceability, connecting to the gas line from the front (inside) of the unit, with only a small vent terminal on the exterior of the coach - no exterior access door is required, permitting installation up to 9" from the wall. It features quiet, multi-ported stainless steel burners, sealed forced-draft combustion, and automatic direct spark ignition.
This furnace directly replaces all previous SF and SFV furnaces in the 35,000 and 40,000 BTU range, including units previously sold under part numbers 2563A and 2400A.
