This is a 12-volt DC control board. It will NOT replace 24-volt AC boards. Verify your furnace voltage before ordering.
The DSI control board manages the complete furnace ignition sequence. Here's what happens when your thermostat calls for heat:
If ignition fails: The board will retry the ignition sequence up to 3 times. After three failed attempts, the board enters lockout mode – it de-energizes the gas valve and runs the blower for 3 minutes to purge any residual gas, then shuts down completely. To reset, turn the thermostat OFF for 60 seconds, then back ON.
This control board fits the following Suburban furnace models:
NT-45S – This board will NOT work on the NT-45S model. NT-40 – Requires the 520839 Module Board Wiring Harness to adapt wiring for use with this control board. 24V AC Furnaces – This 12V DC board will NOT replace 24-volt AC boards.
1. Disconnect all power – turn off furnace and disconnect 12V supply 2. Shut off propane – close tank valve 3. Photograph existing wiring – document all connections before removal 4. Before replacing the control board, check these common issues that can mimic board failure: • Low voltage – Board requires minimum 9.5V DC (10.5V for gas valve) • Blown fuse – Check furnace fuse and RV panel • Sail switch – Most common failure point; test with multimeter • Limit switch – Opens if furnace overheats • Loose connections – Check all spade terminals • Electrode – Clean or replace if spark is weak • Thermostat wiring – Verify signal reaching furnace

Low battery voltage is a common cause of furnace ignition problems. If voltage drops below 10.5V, the gas valve may not open even if the board is functioning properly.
